Who is Jesus?
JESUS IS The Son of God
His early disciples asked the question, “What sort of man is this that the winds and sea obey Him?”
The Bible tells us that Jesus is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” (Colossians 1:1) That means, through Jesus, we can know God who otherwise is too mighty and lofty to reach and too holy and great to know. So He chose to send His only begotten Son to be born of a virgin, and grow up to become a mighty miracle-working rabbi, teaching people about the coming kingdom of God, so that through Him we may know God.
Those who encountered Jesus first-hand, marveled at what He was able to do. Truth is, Jesus is more than just a man, He is the Son of God.
JESUS IS The Savior of the World.
He did not come to start a religion, he came to introduce people to the God who loves all of us, and bring salvation to all who will put their faith in Him (John3:16). It is only through Jesus that we can truly have a personal relationship with God (John 14:6). He came to this earth, born of a virgin and lived a perfect life only to die on the cross and to rise from the grave–to set us free from the penalty and foolishness of sin. He came for that very specific purpose. Romans 5:6-10 says,

6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
Jesus was incomparable. Jesus is incomparable. No public figure can compare to the power of His life and the impact of His teaching.
JESUS IS The Savior for You.
The more important question now is, who is Jesus to YOU? Jesus himself said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). How do you receive that eternal and abundant life? The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Those who acknowledge Him as Lord and believe in the power of His death and resurrection will be saved. Do you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
It’s simple. Pray this simple prayer:
Lord Jesus, I’m praying this prayer because I know now that I need you. I have done wrong. Please forgive me of all the things I have done wrong in the past. I believe that you died on the cross to pray for my sins and that you rose from the grave to give me freedom. I now receive you as Lord and Savior of my life and keep me focused on the plans you have for me. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that You are, now and forever, the Lord over my life. Thank you for saving me. Thank you that I am now a Christian. Amen
